The Russian Mi-14 (NATO Designation: 'Haze') is an amphibian helicopter based on the Mi-8. Originally designated V-8G, the name was changed to V-14 after changing engines to the TV3-117M. Now the production version, Mi-14, wields the TV3-117VM engines.
Capable of take off and landing on water, the multipurpose helicopter stemmed several modifications/versions. Development began in 1962 and the primary manufacturer (as of 2000) was Kazan Helicopters.
