Developed in 1990 by Russia's Kamov Design Bureau, the Ka-32A is a variant of the Kamov Ka-32. Equipped with two TV3-117VMA powerplants, the helicopter's main roles were transport and heavy lifting onboard or as a flying crane. An example of its use is heli-logging.
The aircraft may be fitted with: ski landing gear attachments in addition to the wheels; netted vent covering to the turbine intake to prevent dust/debris from entering.
