Donald Rho Jacoby

Donald Rho  Jacoby, known to many as "Jake", devoted his professional career to the design of a number of the helicopter industry's most illustrious products, including the Hiller UH-12E, the Hughes 500D, and the Robinson R-22. A respected, longtime member of AHS, Mr. Jacoby was selected as a designated engineer representative for the Federal Aviation Administration. He attended Oregon State University, where he graduated with a B.S. degree in engineering. Mr. Jacoby later performed graduate studies at New York State University. He died on June 7, 1998, at his residence in Oceano, California. He was 77.
