Warren C. Jones

Warren C. Jones was the manager of engineering at Bell Helicopter Company, for more than 20 years until his retirement on December 31, 1973.

A native of Troy, Ohio, Warren received his secondary education in Atlanta, GA, and attended Georgia Tech.  Jones, of North Richland Hills, Texas, had been active in the aviation industry since 1928, as a mechanic during the barnstorming era and later in manufacturing and engineering.

A former member of AHS, he joined Bell in April 1952, and shortly after was named manager of engineering, the position he held until retirement.  Previously, Jones had been an engineer with the Glenn L. Martin Company for 15 years. Warren C. Jones died on Feb. 23, 1974, at age 62.
