Dante J. Carboni

Dante J. Carboni, a member of the Society for more than 27 years, was the former general superintendent of manufacturing for Sikorsky, he had been attending a meeting of the Foreman's club. 

Carboni began his aviation career in 1917 working as an assembler and experimental trouble-shooter in the development and production of Liberty engines. In 1920, then 20 years old, he operated his own garage in New Haven, Conn., and remained self-employed until 1928.  During those years, he built and raced his own automobiles.
