Armand C. (Buck) Crossen was a marketing manager for Breeze Corporations, Inc.
Crossen was a staunch supporter of the Society and of its activities, having been a member since April 1963. Until his election last summer to president and chief executive officer of Federal Laboratories, Inc., Saltsburg, Pa., he was a familiar figure at events in the Northeast Region at the Annual National Forum.
While with Breeze, Crossen was responsible for the ascension of the company to leadership in the sales of cargo, rescue winches, and hoists for the commercial and military helicopter, as well as the fixed-wing aircraft field. He also was instrumental in the broad expansion of the Breeze line of equipment into worldwide markets, particularly Europe and the Orient. He held positions previously with Houdaille Industries, Hydraulic Div., and Chance Vought Corp.
Crossen died on April 7 in Hartford, Connecticut, after suffering a heart attack during a business trip to New England at age 53.
