First flight of the Sud-Aviation SA.340

Description

This was the proptotype of the aircraft that would become the SA.341 (or Gazelle with some operators). This aircraft flew with an Alouette type tail rotor although this changed on later prototypes. The second prototype (F-ZWRA) became the first aircraft to fly with a fenestron type tail rotor.
