First helicopter flight by an American military pilot (VS-300 2nd configuration)

Description

Frank Gregory, the Project Officer for the Army Air Corps’ new Helicopter Program was offered the controls of the VS-300 by Igor Sikorsky, whilst on a vist to the Sikorsky facility to view the aircraft. By taking the controls he became the first American military helicopter pilot.
