First medical emergency mission flown by a helicopter (Bell Model 30)

Description

The first time a helicopter had been used to perform a medical emergency mission.

A doctor was flown to a snowbound New York farm using a Bell Model 30 flown by Bell test pilot Floyd Carlson to assist a pilot who had  bailed out of a Bell fighter aircraft.
