First patent for the use of elastomeric bearings in a rotor head issued

Description

The patent was the first to cover the use of elastomerics as replacements for the mechanical bearings traditionally used in helicopter rotor heads. The patent was assigned to the Lord Manufacturing Companie of Erie , PA, USA.
