Description

The Doblhoff Wienerer-Neustädter Flugzeugwerke WNF 342 was the first tip jet powered helicopter. The exact day of the first flight has to be confirmed.

Similar technology would subsequently be used in aircraft such as the Fairey Gyrodyne and Rotodyne.
