Bristol Aeroplane Company, Helicopter Division

   

The Bristol Aeroplane Company came into being in 1920. In 1944 the aircraft and engine parts of the company became two separate divisions with a separate helicopter sub-division also being formed around this time.  In 1956 the Aircraft division became a separate company, Bristol Aircraft.
