NH90 TTH tail rotor - what are those cables?

Great image of the NH90 TTH tail rotor at http://vertipedia.vtol.org/images/tailRotors/NHIndustries_NH90_TTH_French_Army_Air_Corps_EAD_PAS_2013_04_tail_rotor_detail.jpg. But what are those cables and wires running around the tail rotor hub? Won't they break when the rotor is spinning? I'd appreciate any info anybody has. Many thanks!

There appears to be 2 different cables/wires here. 1 appears to be linked to plastic items that are almost certainly ground equipment. The second type of cable appears to provide an electrical path around the tail rotor dampers, probably to provide a conduction path for lightning strikes.
